Meet Our Team

Christie joined our practice in 2013. She is responsible for handling accounts payable, through billing statements as well maintaining thorough records of insurance payments. She loves our patients and loves working for a family practice with honest and amazing doctors. She is married with two children and enjoys traveling and reading.

Michelle served in the United States Navy from 1989 to 1996 and has spent two years in the active reserve. In 2007, she received her Associate of Science degree from Georgia Highlands College. She joined our practice in 2018 and enjoys the family atmosphere which makes it a pleasure and joy of coming to work every day. Michelle monitors eligibility and coverage with dental insurances as well as communicating with insurance companies on behalf of our patients regarding their claims. Michelle makes sure that any necessary supportive information is included to allow for smooth processing. Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, two grown children and a growing family which also includes pets!

Alana graduated from Fusion Academy in 2021 before joining DeMercy Dental of October 2023. Her position is to answer the phones with her positive disposition, schedule and maintain the appointment books, and best of all, helping new patients become a part of dental practice. She enjoys the people and atmosphere and is so grateful for this opportunity to work at a great place with great people. Even her family loves that she works here!

In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, hiking, shopping and cats.

Kayla is responsible for consulting our new and existing patients about further treatment made by our doctors, any insurance contribution, as well as financial options. It is Kayla’s kind demeanor that allows our patients to understand the importance and how we can return them back to dental health.

Kayla is married, and together, her and her spouse have a senior fur baby named Mic. In her spare time, she enjoys going shopping and spending time with her family.

Allyssa is a graduate of Medical College of Georgia’s Dental Hygiene program. She joined the DeMercy Dental team in the summer of 2012 where she brought a new vibrancy to the office. Allyssa’s fun personality makes it feel more like a visit than an appointment. She strives for not only your oral health but your overall health with oral/body health education. In 2022, Allyssa furthered her education and became Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist. Outside of work, Allyssa enjoys spending time camping with her husband and her two sons.

Jasmine graduated from Georgia State University in 2019, and joined our team in December 2022. She loves being part of a team that works well together and which feels like family, as well as being part of an office with the most up-to-date equipment possible. Jasmine always maintains a positive attitude and a calm demeanor to help our patients and our team feel at home in our practice.

Jasmine’s family is from the Bahamas, and she is the youngest of three children. When not in the office she enjoys painting and hanging out with her puppy, Rocky. Jasmine is also a big foodie and loves trying out new foods.

Janki graduated with a dental hygiene degree in India. She lived in New Jersey for six years before moving to Georgia and studying dental hygiene here. She joined DeMercy Dental in May 2023, bringing with her more than 10 years of experience in the dental hygiene field. She enjoys being part of a cohesive team with supportive doctors, advanced knowledge and technology. Janki believes in the practice philosophy that patients come first, and does her best to help our patients feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair. She is very involved with airway dentistry for children and adults, as well as patient education.

Janki and her husband have two lovely children, one boy and one girl. She loves traveling and spending time with her family.

Taylor graduated from Georgia State University in 2018 and has worked for DeMercy Dental for over four years. She loves the family environment and how it does not feel like work. She also enjoys making her patients comfortable and making every visit something to look forward to.

Taylor and her husband have one daughter and two dogs. She loves to garden and be outdoors.

Alfiya graduated from Dental Careers Institute and has been with our team since 2017! Her favorite part of dentistry is seeing the positive, life-changing results that cosmetic dentistry can provide for patients.

Alfiya has a husband and three kids. When she is not at the office, she enjoys cooking and baking!

Tonya joined our team in June 2023, and enjoys being part of a practice where there is such great camaraderie, a family feel and where everyone is helpful and kind. Tonya works hard to help our patients feel at ease and to help other members of our team.

Tonya has one sister and a large extended family on her mother’s side. Outside the office, she enjoys photography (mainly sports and landscape photography), traveling, hiking, watching her cousins play baseball, working out and watching baseball, basketball and football.

Samantha graduated in 2004, after which she achieved her dental assistant certification through DANB. She joined our team in 2023, and appreciates being part of a fantastic team with the perfect balance of professional and fun.

Samantha has four children, as well as cats, dogs and a fish.
